After 18 years in the cornfields of Indiana, I headed east to go to Georgetown University. My years in college gave me more than I could ever imagine--a husband, a core group of best friends, and a wealth of amazing opportunities. Following graduation, my soon-to-be husband spent three years in North Carolina while I remained in DC, so I got a solid dose of long distance before moving with him to our new home in Rhode Island. I started blogging six months after we got married to help me remember what we learned and to help channel my creative juices. {cv} and I currently live in an apartment in Providence with our two kitties, Gus and Mr. Pinky, but we will be moving to the 'burbs next year when we build our house. I'm so excited to see what else life brings!

The thing at the heart of her blog is...
When I share the name of my blog, people kind of look at me quizzically. Long distance can provoke a lot of emotions--some good, some bad. The core of the blog is my inherent desire to retain the ability to love from afar, be it clothes, house goods, or even {cv}. We managed three years apart, so much of the blog helps keep me in check for getting too comfortable with having him around. I'm also a long distance runner {which I don't discuss much on the blog}, so the connotation of long distance extends even further. Needless to say, the heart of my blog is sharing my love of life with others--and I hope it comes across in the blogosphere :)

Her perfect film would consist of...
As a RomCom fanatic, I would likely have to say something along those lines--with a touch of history in the mix. As an American Studies grad, I love any and all historical references, so a movie like Titanic--but true--would be a dream!

I want to live in RI! I'm super good at long distance too, makes every weekend you see each other pretty exciting. Of course living together is great toO!
