Who, What, Where?
Ms. Michelle, Blogger, Washington - USA (originally), Western Germany (currently in a dorm room)
(I work with the wounded arriving from Afghanistan and other locations from around the world. The job is both tragic and rewarding. I head back to Washington at the end of October and from there I will work on readjusting to a normal lifestyle. I tend to get myself into interesting predicaments, so the blog postings are sure to be entertaining, if not shocking.)

(1) I am a glamorous and fashion loving petite blonde that has been in the US Air Force Reserves for 20 years (5 years active) (2) I'm a complete misfit in the military, and going back to Active Duty for 6 months has been an odd social experiment by being forced to start all over with complete strangers (3) Before Germany I had a booming business selling clothes and vintage items on ebay in addition to a owning a local consignment company (4) I'm overly independent (I'm an Aquarius for those into astrology), so I constantly crave to learn new skills and love to try new things (5) I'm obsessed with beautiful things - clothes, shoes, accessories, stationery, make-up, textiles, hand bags, color palettes, texture and decor - etc. (6) I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up, but I'm waiting for my epiphany any day now!

The thing at the heart of her blog is...
Life is one big changing adventure - but only if you let it. Too many times we get stuck in our own boring routine - which is a tragedy. Life is meant to be explored, tested and ever changing. Try something new - something out of your personal comfort zone to wake yourself up. For me, that meant buying a bicycle and taking it on the train to explore new cities on my days off. Scary at first (especially with the language barrier), but now I can confidently explore anywhere in Europe - on my own terms. Fear is crippling - so think of it this way, "what would you attempt to do if you knew you could not fail"?

Weird answer, but I love a film with subtitles. I am easily distracted, so subtitles force me to pay attention. Plus you know what is going on with the movie since you didn't miss that one important sentence early on.
